If you are planning your wedding amongst the many decisions you will have to make will be who will be in
your wedding party and what responsibilities you should give them. The wedding party includes all the brides'
maids and grooms men the maid of honor, the best man, the flower girl and the ring bearer. Every one of
these persons has an important role to play before during and after the wedding. You should do your best to
choose them wisely, as the wedding party adds a bit of grandeur to the wedding.
When you are choosing your wedding party many people advise that you should make sure that they are able to do the following:
* Be reliable
* Inspire trust in them
* Have or organized a reliable means of transportation
* Have the ability to pay for whatever accessories they need, including the tuxedo, shoes, dress, tie, and hairdo.
The members of your wedding party should be a family member and very close friends. You still will have to choose
from that pool wisely and make sure you are comfortable with your choices.
In the traditional sense of wedding the members' of your bridal party do have some responsibilities and duties.
You should not be fearful of approaching any member of your wedding party and ask them for help. Lanning a wedding
is a huge task and you will need all the help you can get. Here are some duties that you can assign to different
members of your wedding party.
For the best man, who is usually either the brother or the best man of the groom, he has the dubious responsibility
to plan the bachelor party, helps the groom get dressed on the wedding, usually the one who holds the ring at the
wedding and should be prepared to give a toast to the couple. He also is the one who gives information to the groomsmen.
The groom also has the following responsibilities, he will give you some assistance and advise as to the planning of
your honey more and the wedding and will also help you make some of the arrangements you need to make. He can help you
with the clean up after the wedding is done and all the guests are gone.
The groomsmen are usually close friends or family, and they have the responsibility to help the best man to make plans
for the bachelor party, offer assistance in dressing the groom, help to keep the mood light as many grooms are very
nervous on their wedding day.
The ushers are going to be responsible for escorting wedding guests to their seats, running errands should they arise,
give assistance to the bridesmaids in escorting the wedding accessories and other decor to where they are needed and
help to decorate the means of transportation the couple will be using, before they leave for the ceremony.
Your maid of honor should be present at every event that has anything to do with planning the wedding, from the parties,
to meeting the wedding dress designer. She should also help you with your make up and getting dressed on the wedding day.
Other things she should do include holding the brides bouquet and the grooms ring on the wedding day, she will arrange your
train throughout the whole wedding, and be prepared with a toast at the reception. She also should be able to do some of
your errands for you leading up to the wedding, and pass on information to the rest of the bridal party.
The bridesmaids are responsible for attending all events that involve the wedding planning process, helping to transport
the decorations and accessories.
